Overview / Job Summary:
The Coordinator, Workforce Success is responsible for providing business consultation, employment and project support to partners with their business and employment needs for WSU Tech.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary but are not limited to:
- Acts as the primary liaison to internal WSU Tech partners as well as external industry partners to assess their existing, emerging, and future business and hiring needs
- Maintains and expands relationship with internal WSU Tech partners, promoting services for student employment needs, including sourcing, coaching, and programming for students in applied learning opportunities
- Connects participants to wraparound services to ensure they are successful by referring students as needed to community partners and resources
- Provides on-going consultation to business partners on the services and capabilities available to them as WSU/WSU Tech applied learning partners
- Provide ongoing advisement and guidance to business partners on the services and capabilities available to them as WSUTech partners.
- Collaborate with partners to enhance student success initiatives within the applied learning programs. Work collaboratively to develop and implement solutions that benefit internal and external partners and prioritize the wellbeing and success of students.
As the Coordinator of Workforce Success at WSU Tech, you will play a critical role in shaping the futures of students and contributing to the growth of the workforce in our community. Your efforts will help bridge the gap between education and employment, leading students toward fulfilling and productive careers.
Education:
- High school diploma or other equivalent; required
- Bachelor’s degree; preferred.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in career services, human resources or other professional development programs, preferred
- Understanding of business practices and strong ability to provide quality consultation to a broad range of industry and university partners
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Ability to fulfill all duties with minimal supervision and to work independently
- Assess situations rapidly and make logical decisions in a timely manner
- Analyze facts and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to effectively manage projects and multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
