Assistant Executive Steward

Job Responsibilities:

• The Assistant Executive Stewarding Manager is responsible for assisting the Executive Steward in managing staff and kitchens
• Training and scheduling staff
• Conducting daily inspections of facilities to ensure conformance with health and fire code regulations
• Planning, directing and overseeing the maintenance of kitchen areas and kitchen equipment, both stationary and portable
• Maintaining inventory and supplies necessary to support stewarding staff
• Coordinating stewarding needs with restaurant chefs, and all other duties as determined by the Executive Steward. 
   

Job Requirements:

• Candidates must be able to communicate, read and write in English fluently and in a professional manner. 2nd language a plus. 
• Requires a minimum of 4 years prior stewarding management experience, preferably in a high-volume, luxury hotel/casino resort. 
• Prior experience working in a Union a plus. 
• Candidate must have knowledge of chemicals, personal protection equipment, and sanitation guidelines. 
• The Candidate must have the ability to manage all aspects of the stewarding operation. *Requires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
