We are seeking a highly skilled Technical QA Lead who excels in both manual and automation testing methodologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities to effectively manage a team of QA engineers and ensure the quality and timely delivery of our software products.

This is a Sydney based role and 2 days (Monday + Thursdays) will be based in our Sydney CBD office. 

What the role will involve:

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
• Coordinate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to prioritise testing activities and resolve issues.

Testing Strategy and Execution:

• Design and implement robust test strategies for both manual and automated testing processes.
• Oversee the creation and execution of test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Drive the adoption of automation frameworks and tools to optimise testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct thorough regression testing when necessary to validate software quality and stability.
• Hands-on involvement in testing activities, including complex scenarios and troubleshooting.
• Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to QA and testing.
• Evaluate and recommend testing tools and frameworks that align with project requirements.

We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience (5 years) as a QA Engineer or similar role, with a focus on both manual and automated testing.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium and Java.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus.
