About this role

As many new tools and products emerge within Yubo we are currently expanding the team to help with  the industrialisation of our infra and of its  automation. This Staff DevOps/SRE position acts as a bridge between the infra team and the rest of the tech squads.  

As a Staff DevOps/SRE engineer, part of the infrastructure team and reporting directly to the head of the infrastructure,  you will play a key role in designing, deploying and maintaining our technical infrastructure while coaching and mentoring less experienced team members with the goal to become one of the pillars of our Infra expertise.

Your expertise will help ensure reliability, scalability and security of our system. Your primary mission will be to ensure the smooth operations of our infrastructure while leading continuous improvement initiatives.

• As part of your job, you will be working on tools that process personal data relating to Yubo users.
• As a social media platform, we require our employees to have a strong awareness and understanding of privacy issues, and in particular of children's online safety, privacy and well-being.
• Every employee at Yubo is expected to participate in compliance with data protection regulations as well as the continuous improvement of our Privacy & Safety By Design measures.

• As a key member of the Infra team you will develop, deploy and manage robust and stable systems using cloud technologies and automation tools 
• You will have to enhance continuous integration and deployment processes to increase efficiency and the quality of deliverables
• You will be responsible for implementing advanced observability tools to ensure availability and performance
• You will identify, diagnose and quickly resolve production issues to minimize user impact 
• You will guide less experienced engineers, share knowledge and promote a culture of continuous learning 
• You will be a key part of cross team collaboration and you will work closely with development, data and security to align objectives and initiatives

• Infra : Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Grafana, Datadog, GCP, SaltStack 
• On data : Couchbase, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Mongo DB

• You have at least 10-12 years of experience as a DevOps or SRE, ideally within a startup or scaleup environment.
• You have strong operational experiences working with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration 
• You are able to go further than working with all integrated managed services
• You have deep expertise in the Linux ecosystem and its fundamental role in shaping modern containerized environments
• You have already worked in a GCP or an AWS environment
• You are familiar with event sourcing architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, NATS).
• You are able to work and design complex workflow system with tools such as ArgoWorkflow 
• You know how to work on software configuration management tool such as: Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef
• You have strong knowledge on monitoring tools such as: grafana, loki, datadog, prometheus
• You are fluent in French, and are comfortable working in English.

• Discuss with senior members of other team to understand their issue and difficulty 
• Start working on SRE issues with current project of the team 

• Work onAPI gateway setup & deployment to split our APIs monoliths
• Improve our observability stack using tracing technologies
• Internalize Android CI Manage feature branch as CRD through Feature Apps web app
• Expand the use of tools like SaltStack and Argo Workflow  to automate infrastructure management and facilitate deployments.
• Automate the monitoring stack through Kubernetes operators
