About Zen Educate:
Zen Educate is a well-funded, hyper-growth scale-up with significant traction in the US and UK. We are rapidly expanding our team and looking for leaders to launch and scale new US cities and regions.
Zen is a marketplace platform that connects schools with educators. Schools are in dire need of affordable staffing support - particularly for special education students who have grown as a proportion of the student body since COVID. Educators are also in need of flexible, competitively paid work that helps them break into, stay, and grow their career in education.
We are on a mission to change the world of education, get students the support that they deserve at a rate that schools can afford, and stop the cycle of persistent educator shortages. Our purpose-built platform dramatically improves system efficiencies and creates a world-class user experience - schools save money, and educators earn more!
This is your chance to join at the ground floor and make a real difference. Your leadership will not only shape the future of Zen Educate but also impact the wider education system. Join us to make an impact on the lives of students and educators.
Responsibilities:
Radical revenue ownership: Lead consistent revenue growth in Minneapolis month over month, and year over year
Strategic leadership: Own the overall end-to-end delivery of Minneapolis-St.Paul’s growth including the strategic planning, hiring, coaching, and launch of new district and charter partnerships (and everything in between)
Build a high performing team that gets better and better every single month:
- Build and coach a strong commercial team of Account Managers to continuously improve Cx, product adoption, and grow revenue as a result
- Help create and execute a world-class training and development program
- Lead a team to delight educators, students, and staff through every interaction
- Start and end every day challenging the status quo
- Equally support and challenge you and your team to grow
Collaborate with other teams critical to your city and team’s success:
- Work hand in hand with Product to build the features and function that your school partners and educators need
- Work closely with our Educator Onboarding and Marketing teams to ensure you are onboarding the right number of educators at the right time to fill both long-term and short-term roles
- Deeply understand Minnesota’s educational requirements at the city, state, and federal level to ensure Zen is compliant
- Strategize with Sales to launch new school partnerships
Delight your customers: Foster strategic partnerships with education leaders and key district accounts
Systems and process improvement: Consistently build and iterate on the systems and processes supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of your team
Be hands on: Like any true start-up, no two weeks will be the same. A passion for doing whatever you have to do to get the job done is critical. That includes frequent visits to Minneapolis-St.Paul schools and spending as much in-person time as possible with the team.
Be an entrepreneur: You are the CEO of your region. Get creative, push back on boundaries, and rewrite the playbook on how to grow your business.
What We Offer:
Career Progression: We are growing quickly. We are looking for someone ready and eager to progress to higher levels of leadership to lead larger and larger geographical teams. As an early employee and a senior leader, you will play a significant role in shaping the company's strategy and direction, and enjoy these accelerated career growth opportunities as a result.
Social Impact: Join a mission-driven company that is purposely keeping money in the education system, and positively impacting the lives of students and educators.

What We're Looking For:
Top Performers: Start-ups are hard. We’re looking for relentless individuals with a proven track record of hitting/exceeding revenue targets.
Radical ownership: As a City Leader, you will need to wear many different hats in order to lead your team’s overall success and revenue growth. We’re looking for leaders who lean in and ask “What else is within my control to change?” when tackling problems and pursuing opportunities.
Revenue leadership: At least 2 years in a revenue leadership role
Mastery of managing a portfolio of customer/partner accounts: 2-5 years in a Customer Success Manager, Sales, Partnerships, or Account Manager role
Passion for Education: Share our passion for positively impacting education and making it better, one educator at a time
