As a People + Culture Generalist on the People + Culture (P+C) team, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional experiences throughout the employee journey. Approximately 30% of your time supports TA with sourcing, job postings, interviews, and candidate experience. The remainder of your role will focus on key People Partner processes to ensure Zipsters feel valued, supported, and empowered every step of the way. This role requires strong attention to detail, a solutions-driven mindset, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Within the first 6 months:
- Support managers and employees with the performance management process, including goal setting, evaluations, and development planning
- Manage the onboarding process to ensure a welcoming and smooth transition for new hires, conducting 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins to assess satisfaction and integration
- Contribute to creating and implementing an efficient workflow for resume sourcing and supporting talent acquisition initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the primary point of contact for employees, providing timely and accurate guidance.

Communicate HR policies and updates to employees and managers, offering clarification and guidance as needed.

Monitor compliance with HR policies, ensuring adherence across the organization.

Participate in special projects and perform other HR duties as assigned.

Resolve or escalate complex issues to appropriate team members or departments while providing excellent support throughout the employee lifecycle.

Identify opportunities for improving processes and workflows.

Contribute to the development of initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in HR, specifically People Operations or talent acquisition.
- Tech Proficiency: Experience with people operations technologies (e.g., BambooHR, Lattice, Greenhouse) and proficiency with google applications (docs, sheets, slides) required.
- Problem-Solving & Service: Proven ability to provide world-class customer service and resolve issues effectively for both employees and managers.
- Time Management Capabilities: Strong time-management skills, with demonstrated success in working independently and remotely.
- Attention to Detail: Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Communication Skills: Polished written and verbal communication skills to engage with employees and leadership effectively.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Risk Awareness: Aptitude for identifying and managing risks within your role and responsibilities.

Zip is committed to a straightforward and transparent pay structure. The actual base salary will be determined by various individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, internal equity, as well as other objective business considerations.
The annual base Pay Range for this position is $52,000 - $70,000. This range reflects our US national compensation (USN). Additional premium percentages may apply based on our tiered premium strategy.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
