Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) is a cloud native security service edge (SSE) solution that builds on a decade of secure web gateway leadership. We're looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team. Reporting to the Director, Software Development Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

  • Develop and execute sophisticated system test plans to quality our product with customer topologies & configuration profiles working closely with Development, Product Management, SRE and Technical Marketing teams.
  • Participate in product development early-on during the development life-cycle, create the necessary test infrastructure, and help with early system integration & solution testing.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership in the areas of SASE / SSE, Cloud Orchestration, Security, Networking and Automation.
  • Develop and enhance automated test infrastructure to enable building scalable and reliable tests that reflect customer deployment scenarios.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify performance / scale bottlenecks and propose solutions and implement cloud security measures to ensure protection for our systems.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 6-8 years of System testing and automation experience working on Enterprise Grade Networking/SD-WAN or L4-L7 Security Products with deep expertise in Routing / Switching, TCP/IP, IPSec, SSL / TLS protocols & configurations.
  • Experience in virtualization technologies like ESXi / KVM / Hyper-V and Public cloud compute & networking expertise with AWS / GCP / Azure.
  • Intermediate to Expert level experience with automation using Python or Go.
  • Experience working with traffic generator tools like Spirent / IXIA and open source tools like TRex, JMeter etc.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related fields.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Demonstrate ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast paced, innovative environment adapting to new technologies.
  • CCIE (Routing & Switching / Security) and / or expertise with SASE / SSE technologies such CASB, SD-WAN and Secure Private Access will be a huge plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on practical and scalable solutions.
