Assistant International Tax Analyst

Company Description

Job Description 

The Assistant Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing all US compliance related to foreign entities (e.g. Form 5471, 8858, etc.), working with outside service providers to comply with all local income tax reporting requirements, preparing ASC 740 documentation, assisting in tax audits and special projects as they pertain to income or other relevant taxes. Provide support for other areas of the tax department on an as needed basis. This position reports to the Manager – International Tax.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Assist in managing compliance with tax accounting policies and procedures (including Sarbanes-Oxley)
  • Prepare IRS forms related to foreign entities
  • Assist in managing international compliance
  • Prepare reconciliation of tax-related general ledger accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of the income tax provision
  • Prepare provision-to-return work papers
  • Monitor changes in local country legislation for provision impacts
  • Research tax laws to ensure compliance
  • Support annual documentation requirements for IRS CAP audit
  • Assist in resolving international audits and issues with various tax authorities

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting
  • 1+ year of corporate tax experience in either public accounting or industry (international tax experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of income tax concepts
  • Strong accounting and technology skills
  • Thomson-Reuters One Source compliance experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage various tasks to meet all statutory compliance deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Skilled at documenting processes and procedures a plus
  • Attitude of continuous improvement to question processes and outcomes for better ways of working
