Job Title: Business Development Representative Team Lead
Salary: $1,200 - $1,300 USD monthly
Schedule: M-F, 9 AM - 5 PM EST
Job Overview:
As the Business Development Representative (BDR) Team Lead, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting a team of five BDRs to successfully generate leads, set demos, and contribute to the company’s sales growth. You will bring your experience in business development, leadership, and HubSpot proficiency to ensure the BDR team is on track, motivated, and executing effectively. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both strategic thinking and the ability to manage and motivate a team while driving measurable results.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage a team of 5 Business Development Representatives, ensuring they meet or exceed individual and team goals.
- Conduct daily 10-minute team meetings at 9:00 AM US Eastern Time to review daily goals, share insights, and align on strategies.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to BDRs to help them improve performance and overcome challenges.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of outreach strategies, providing proactive solutions to drive better results.
Call Monitoring & Trend Analysis:
- Listen to BDRs' cold calls and analyze trends, including common objections and responses.
- Identify recurring objections and trends, creating effective responses and training materials to address them proactively.
- Provide regular feedback to the team based on call reviews and market trends to improve their outreach strategies.
Sales Development & Outreach:
- Lead by example by making a handful of cold calls per week (approximately 5 calls per day), ensuring your calls are consistent with the team’s goals and approach.
- Track and report on personal and team performance, including calls made, demos booked, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
HubSpot Management & Data Accuracy:
- Ensure that all cold calls are accurately recorded in HubSpot and that the team is consistently updating and tracking their outreach in the system.
- Use HubSpot’s tools and data to monitor and analyze team performance, track lead progress, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Reporting & Communication:
- Send daily updates via Slack to the CRO and other relevant stakeholders, reporting the total number of calls made and demos booked by the team.
- Regularly communicate with leadership on team performance, challenges, and opportunities to optimize the sales pipeline.
Requirements:
Experience:
- -3+ years of experience as a Business Development Representative (BDR) or Sales Development Representative (SDR), with a proven track record of success in a B2B sales environment.
- -2+ years of experience in a leadership or team management role, specifically leading BDRs or sales teams.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in HubSpot CRM (or similar sales tools) is required.
- Strong ability to coach, train, and mentor team members to improve performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to proactively identify challenges and find solutions.
- A results-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving goals and driving team success.
