Job Overview:

We’re helping our client find an Automation Specialist to streamline internal operations through smart, scalable tools and automations. In this role, you will build and implement automation solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive operational efficiency to remove friction and improve workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Build internal tools, scripts, and automations to streamline processes across various teams (e.g., order processing, inventory updates, customer service workflows).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and scope out technical solutions.
• Integrate third-party apps and APIs (e.g., Shopify, Slack, Gorgias, Klaviyo, Airtable).
• Develop lightweight internal software or dashboards to support day-to-day operations.
• Document systems and maintain code in a clean, scalable, and repeatable way.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot automations when necessary.
• Stay updated on trends in automation platforms, APIs, and low-code/no-code tools.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools and workflows
• Solid foundation in coding (e.g. Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n, Retool, Airtable, or custom scripts).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A product mindset — an ability to focus on usability as well as functionality.
• Self-starter attitude with a passion for solving problems.
• Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and data flows.
• Experience with eCommerce systems (Shopify, etc.) is a bonus.
