Job Summary

The Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist (Senior) is responsible for managing and maintaining critical cyber defense systems that protect the enterprise network. This role includes administering specialized cyber defense applications, coordinating with analysts to update signatures and rules, and ensuring compliance with security frameworks such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The specialist supports the deployment and upkeep of dedicated cyber defense infrastructure and assists in evaluating its overall impact on enterprise security.

Responsibilities may include:

• Coordinate with Cyber Defense Analysts to manage and apply updates to rules and signatures for specialized cyber defense tools.
• Perform system administration duties for cyber defense systems and Virtual Private Network (VPN) devices, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and backup.
• Assist in identifying and prioritizing key infrastructure assets for cyber protection and coordinate their security posture.
• Build, install, configure, and test dedicated cyber defense hardware to support enterprise security needs.
• Evaluate the operational impact of deploying and maintaining cyber defense infrastructure components.
• Implement RMF and Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) requirements across cyber defense platforms.
• Document and maintain records related to compliance and system security across all relevant environments.

Required Minimum Education

• Education should be consistent with experience. Relevant experience and professional certifications can outweigh the need for a formal college degree

Required Years of Experience

• 8 years of relevant professional work experience

Required Skills, Qualifications, Technical Experience, etc.

• Fully Adjudicated Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance or greater

Preferred Skills, Qualifications, Technical Experience, etc.

• Experience integrating third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks
• Experience with Splunk, Oracle/SQL based platforms, and python
• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
• AWS Certified Cloud Pracitioner
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate
• NIST NICE Work Roles - Secure Software Development (DD-WRL-003)
