Senior Strategy Manager

Alchemy Worx is an award-winning, audience management agency specializing in email, SMS, and paid social marketing for clients ranging from the Fortune 500 to local market players. The agency offers advanced marketing services, utilizing both time-tested and emerging methods and technologies to secure a higher rate of customer engagement and retention.

Alchemy Worx is looking for an experienced and passionate Strategy Director to develop a team of direct reports and lead engagements for the high growth brands we serve. This critical role will drive account strategies and development of our solutions, business, thought leadership and talent. This role requires a mastery of and passion for working with clients and managing teams to help evolve businesses. The right candidate will be passionate about maintaining a pulse on and continuously building upon emerging trends.

This position is based in NYC, with 3 days a week in our Flatiron office.


What You’ll Do:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of strategists and strategy analysts working on multi-service client engagements
  • Lead organized, thoughtful and productive recurring conversations with direct reports to further account growth, solve account problems, and talk about opportunities for skill or professional development
  • Contribute to agency initiatives and asset library; consistently look for opportunities to bolster the effectiveness of the team
  • Develop client specific marketing strategies and programs across a portfolio of B2C brands, building trust and growing relationships with clients and partners
  • Be the senior escalation point for complex client issues for your clients and your team’s
  • Pull insights from client data to identify strategic opportunities and develop marketing plans
  • Lead and develop teams comprised of creatives, data scientists, producers, and marketers to develop and implement strategic/tactical plans and client roadmaps
  • Provide guidance and feedback to cross-functional team members to steer engagements towards success
  • Collaborate with discipline leaders across the company to build internal capabilities and establish effective methodologies and best practices
  • Negotiate annual client contracts
  • 8+ years of experience as digital strategist or marketer on either the client or agency side.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in Email and SMS marketing, including experience in campaign development, optimization, and cross-channel strategy integration.
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience required, with a proven understanding of industry dynamics.
  • Hybrid work requirement - ability to represent Alchemy Worx by collaborating seamlessly across remote, hybrid teams, and in the client's office as needed.
  • Proven track record of creating and executing impactful marketing strategies that drive measurable results and ROI.
  • Strong experience developing teams - demonstrated ability to mentor employees, foster growth, and build cohesive, high-performing teams.
  • Strategic and cross-functional thinker - innate understanding of the connections between brand, marketing, product, data, and technology.
  • Analytical storyteller - strong data analysis skills, with the ability to translate data into compelling insights that capture and command attention, especially at the executive level.
  • Broad knowledge of marketing channels - strong understanding of digital marketing principles, with experience across email, SMS, push notifications, and social media marketing.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills - ability to present complex ideas in a concise, compelling manner that resonates with both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Leadership and team management abilities - proven success in leading teams, mentoring team members, and fostering a collaborative, motivating work environment.
  • Project management and organizational skills - highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively, ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects under tight timelines.
  • Client relationship building - proven ability to establish trust, build strong client relationships, and act as a trusted advisor to senior client executives.
  • Intellectual curiosity and entrepreneurial mindset - demonstrate an agile, proactive approach to problem-solving, and thrives in environments with a degree of ambiguity.
  • Salary range: $125,000 - $145,000
