Repairs Program Specialist

Summary

The Repairs Program Specialist is accountable for the creation of component repair orders for aircraft parts and for ensuring accurate documentation. They will be responsible for data entry, record-keeping, and maintaining data integrity within the Allegiant eMRO (TRAX ERP System). The Specialist also collaborates with team members, technicians, engineers, and suppliers, which is essential to gather information and provide progress updates, do research, and ensure proper application of service bulletins, etc. during the repair process.

They provide administrative and analytical support duties including scheduling meetings, managing project-related documentation, doing research, and ensuring proper issuance of repair orders. Preferred qualifications include Part 121 airline inventory experience, knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements, or a bachelor’s degree, and effective communication skills. The Repairs Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth repairs coordination and materials management within the airline repairs department. Individuals are expected to provide some analytical support to the materials repairs team not limited to management of certain component aircraft repair orders after creation, vetting of quotes, and analysis of the financial viability of repairs.

Minimum Requirements

A combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Education Details: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Years of Experience: N/A

• Inventory management experience.

• Must be knowledgeable and capable of using Microsoft Office Suite at an Intermediate Level.

• Strong typing skills.

• Excellent verbal (telephone) communication skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with prior experience collaborating and coordinating with various stakeholders, including technicians, engineers, suppliers, and other departments within the airline.

• Self-starter; striving for continual improvement and effectiveness.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability and willingness to travel as required by the role.

• Ability to learn new ERP systems.

• Must successfully pass In-house Training.


Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in purchasing and vendor management.

• Airline industry aircraft tool control or stores functions or other relevant education or experience.

• Previous experience in Part 121 airline inventory management or related field, with a solid understanding of aircraft components, systems, and repair processes.

• Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements and guidelines, such as FAA regulations and industry standards about repairs and maintenance of aircraft parts.

• College degree in relevant field (Relevant fields include aviation, engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or other related disciplines.


Job Duties

• Accurately enter data into relevant systems or databases, including eMRO (TRAX ERP System).

• Maintain the integrity of data and ensure that records are consistently updated and organized within the system.

• Assist in creating Repair Orders, ensuring all necessary documentation, and interfacing with engineering or other work groups as needed.

• Coordinate with team members to gather the necessary information for repair orders and other tasks.

• Execute performance KPIs including working to strict deadlines to ensure component repairs are completed in a timely manner.

• Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed.

• Effectively communicate progress updates on assigned tasks to relevant stakeholders such as Maintenance Technicians, Stores, Repairs, etc.

• Collaborate closely with analysts, providing support for their day-to-day activities and ensuring seamless workflow.

• Organize and manage project-related documentation, ensuring easy access and retrieval when needed.

• Handle general administrative tasks, including filing and managing correspondence.

• Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing direction.

• Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.


Essential Services Provider

Allegiant as a national air carrier is deemed an essential service provider during declared national and state emergencies. Team Members will be required to report to their assigned trip or work location during national and state emergencies unless prohibited by local, state or federal order.
