Are you passionate about books, technology, and serving your community? We are looking for a dedicated Library Branch Assistant to join our dynamic team at the bustling Dupont Branch. As a pivotal member of our library family, you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional customer service and operational support. A typical day involves assisting our customers with registering for library cards, answering general questions, checking library materials in and out, and providing computer and technical assistance.

The position is 28 hours per week. The schedule will be as follows:

Mondays: 5:00pm - 9:15pm

Tuesdays: 12:15pm - 9:15pm

Wednesdays: 9:15am - 6:00pm

Thursdays: Off

Alternating Fri/Sat: 9:15am - 6:15pm

Sundays: Off

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of customer service OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 

• Starting pay is $13.77 per hour and up based on related and comparable work experience

• Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment and stamina to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and push carts that may weigh up to 100 pounds; agility to bend, reach and climb; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
