Position Summary
The Investments & Asset Management Intern will primarily support the hospitality investments and asset management team to assist in Aspen Hospitality’s, a division of Aspen One, expansion of The Little Nell and Limelight hotel brands. This role offers hand-on experience in market research, financial modeling, investment analysis, and asset management strategy for the duration of the 10-week summer internship program. The intern will report to the Manager, Investments & Asset Management and Financial Analyst.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed market research, industry analysis, and comparable property set analysis for portfolio hotels and pipeline opportunities
• Analyze potential investment opportunities by creating Excel-based proforma models and provide recommendations based on financial criteria
• Participate in monthly benchmarking by gathering relevant data and assisting in updating benchmark models
• Assist in monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPI) for existing assets, including financial, operational, and market metrics
• Maintain current knowledge of key tourism trends, economic indicators, and supply and demand dynamics
• Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements
• To participate in this program, candidate must be a current Undergraduate or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management and/or Real Estate Finance
• Minimum 6 months of work experience in hotel operations, hospitality finance, real estate or related field
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to learn and grow in the hospitality industry
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects with deadlines
• Skilled in influencing and acting as a role model to others
• Strong desire to learn all operational and strategic facets of the business
• Ability to maintain a positive, professional, team-player attitude
• Ability to travel to operating portfolio hotels on an as needed basis
Work Environment & Physical Demands
• Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
• No adverse or hazardous conditions
• Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
