Atlas Sand is in search of a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to be the point of contact for all associate inquiries regarding company benefits, interact with healthcare providers & insurance brokers and will report directly to the Payroll & Benefits Manager. This position is in Austin TX and will require travel to West Texas.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-end benefits administration – new enrollees, life events, and open enrollment
- Process all health, welfare, and retirement enrollments and premiums
- Monitor, evaluate, recommend, and implement benefits programs
- Process all new hires, terminations, and unique employee information including W4’s, pay changes, retirement deferrals and loans, promotions, and transfers between entities
- Thoroughly understand and execute compliance regulations and reporting for benefits, payroll, and retirement plans
- Communicate, educate, train, and serve as contact for all levels of management and employees on benefit and payroll matters
- Assist in developing benefit and payroll policies, processes, and guidelines
- Oversee the administration of leaves including FMLA, STD/LTD, and Military
- ACA administration – tracking, enrollments, and distribution of 1095-C’s
- Own end-to-end payroll process across 4 entities for both exempt and non-exempt rotational employees
- Process monthly, quarterly, and annual bonuses, commissions, and out-of-cycle payrolls
- Process garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and all other income withholding orders as directed
- Compile information and complete audits to ensure payroll and benefit integrity
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with UKG (UltiPro) is preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with payroll and benefit administration
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local regulations
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
