Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support financial operations for a food and beverage company. This role is essential in managing accounts payable, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth accounting functions. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, proficiency in QuickBooks Online, and the ability to multitask with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable & Wires: Process vendor invoices, initiate payment runs, and manage wire transfers.
• Journal Entries & Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure accurate journal entries in QuickBooks Online.
• Expense Management: Process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions in compliance with company policies.
• Accounts Receivable: Manage outstanding receivables, including timely follow-ups and accurate record-keeping.
• Financial Data Entry: Maintain accurate and timely financial records in QuickBooks Online.
• Balance Sheet Management: Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including prepaids, accruals, and other relevant accounts.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly cash flow analyses, financial reports, and ad hoc reports as required.
• Month-End Close: Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close procedures.

• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and general accounting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and a proactive team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• An accounting degree or relevant certification is preferred.
