Barbaricum is seeking an experienced Field Service Representative also know as a Trainer Maintenance Technician (TMT), is responsible for conducting New Equipment Training (NET) and Doctrine and Tactics Training (DTT) in accordance with the appropriate Program of Instruction (POI) and Training Support Package (TSP).


The TMT/FSR plays a critical role in ensuring that military personnel are fully trained in equipment operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Additionally, the TMT/FSR provides maintenance support, conducts inspections, and offers technical assistance for a variety of PM CCS systems.


Responsibilities:
  • 1) New Equipment Training (NET) and Doctrine and Tactics Training (DTT):
  • Conduct all NET and DTT activities in accordance with the POI/TSP, covering equipment operations, operator maintenance, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), troubleshooting, and installation of equipment.
  • Prepare and deliver Key Leader Briefings when requested, ensuring that leadership is fully informed of training progress and equipment capabilities.
  • Participate in NMIBs, IPRs, and other relevant meetings, providing expert input and ensuring the successful execution of these events.
  • Prepare and submit trip reports and estimates prior to the event, provide daily updates during the event, and compile and submit the CDRL and necessary information for the Actual Cost Memo following the event.
  • 2) Equipment De-installation and Recovery:
  • Perform de-installation operations, including the removal and replacement of service items, recovery of equipment, and ancillary items (e.g., brackets, wiring harnesses, cable assemblies).
  • Ensure all equipment is properly prepared for reinstallation, IAW system standards.
  • 3) Fielding and Inventory Support:
  • Conduct or support New Equipment Fielding (NEF) by prepping equipment for fielding, conducting pre-NEF and joint inventories with unit representatives, and confirming the accuracy of system components and serial numbers (SN).
  • Prepare necessary documentation for NEF (e.g., DA 3161/DA 2062) and verify the accuracy of unit documentation to ensure accountability.
  • 4) Maintenance and Technical Support:
  • Provide maintenance support for various PM CCS systems, conducting semiannual inspections on all Class VII detectors.
  • Perform technical inspections, troubleshoot faults, and repair a wide range of PM CCS systems to ensure operational readiness.
  • Conduct refresher and new instructor training as directed by the Senior Trainer, ensuring that all trainers are up to date with the latest procedures and techniques.
  • 5) AN/PSS-14 Lane Support:
  • Conduct AN/PSS-14 lane surveys, installation, and maintenance as required, ensuring that training lanes are properly set up and maintained for effective use.
  • 6.) Customer Assistance and Field Support:
  • Provide technical assistance to various military units as directed by the Site Manager or Program Manager (PM), responding to Requests for Information (RFI) and reviewing unit maintenance support requests (DA 2404/5988E).
  • Determine if telephonic assistance can resolve issues or if the system needs to be shipped to Fort Leonard Wood for Technical Inspection (TI) and repair.
  • 7) Global Deployment:
  • Be prepared to travel and deploy worldwide as necessary to support mission requirements, providing training and maintenance support wherever needed.


Qualifications
  • Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Minimum of 6-years of experience since 2000 in the maintenance and training of fielded military equipment.
  • At least 2 years serving as a certified military equipment instructor, with completion of an approved instructor training course such as FIFC, ABIC, or ITC.
  • Competence in preparing training lanes, including the ability to clear areas of metallic clutter.
  • Proficient in conducting technical inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of complex systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with military personnel and senior leadership.
