Director, Wealth Advisor & Relationship Manager

JOB PURPOSE:          Lead, retain, and grow CCT client relationships, specializing in <$10 million AUM clients.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as a strategic advisor coordinating all aspects of the firm’s advice and implementation on behalf of clients
  • Maintain highly consultative and solutions-based discussions with existing and prospective clients
  • Assess and solve developing client needs in the areas of investment management, financial planning, estate planning and fiduciary management
  • Coordinate with the Central Portfolio Management team on the implementation of client portfolios
  • Lead client conversations related to investment implementation and performance
  • Coordinate and lead CCT client relationships and portfolio review meetings to confirm objectives, deliver performance results and solicit feedback & referrals
  • Develop superior knowledge of CCT’s Global Thematic Equity (GTE) & Fixed Income strategies, and deliver portfolio commentary and results focused on the GTE model portfolio and CCT Thematic Equity Fund (THMEX)
  • Complete and deliver personal financial plans, with emphasis on balance sheet preparation and net worth projections
  • Provide general estate planning and fiduciary advice, introducing internal and external resources as appropriate
  • Deliver presentations of CCT qualifications and direct the sales process for prospective clients and their professional advisors
  • Effectively communicate CCT’s history, investment philosophy and differentiated approach
  • Represent Chevy Chase Trust’s competitive advantage to prospective clients, their CPAs, attorneys, and other professional advisors
  • Identify and cultivate long term relationships with key professional advisors to CCT’s clients while developing relationships with high quality advisors with whom CCT should be aligned
  • Work closely with other members of the team to thoughtfully leverage their relationships, time and expertise in communicating with existing and potential clients
  • Assist in development and execution of CCT’s sales, marketing and event plans


JOB REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS / ABILITIES):
  • 7-10 years of investment management, financial planning and/or fiduciary industry experience with a minimum of 3-5 years in business development or relationship management
  • Ability to establish and build relationships among a broad client base to include high net worth individuals, endowments, foundations, and their professional advisors
  • Superior analytical ability with strong knowledge of investment management, financial planning and fiduciary services
  • Ability to effectively communicate and advise on a wide range of wealth management issues
  • Demonstrated career history of continued growth and success, in roles of increased complexity and responsibility
  • Proven success in setting and achieving goals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field is required
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations preferred
  • Advanced credentials, such as MBA, JD and/or CPA are desirable 


$190,000 - $200,000 a year

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.  Base pay is one component of Chevy Chase Trust's total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
