Information Technology Intern

The B. F. Saul Company concentrates on ownership, development, and construction of commercial real estate.

The internship will be a 10-week role supporting the Information Technology department in several disciplines, including cybersecurity, desktop & end user support, and financial systems administration & reporting across a variety of business lines including hospitality, commercial & multifamily real estate, and insurance.

• Log and track IT related issues in the help desk system
• Assist in the resolution of user questions and trouble tickets
• Support IT audit responses including the gathering and organizing of required documentation related to user access reviews and change requests
• Develop, test, maintain, and document custom financial reports and queries
• Support the cybersecurity program including security awareness & training compliance, patch / vulnerability management reporting, penetration testing review, threat hunting, and incident response exercises / runbook documentation
• Participate in IT related tasks for new property setup and opening
• Assist with research and development of new technologies and vendors
• Participate in department and project team meetings

• Coursework related to cyber/information security, relational databases/analytics, networking, or software development
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) or similar applications

• A current student or recent graduate of a Computer Science or Information Systems related program from an accredited college or university
• 3.0 GPA or higher

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.  Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Company & Affiliates total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
