We are looking for a non-technical Project Coordinator who will work closely with our team of Consultants and Project Managers to support existing clients. Project Coordinators are expected to be strong academic writers who are eager to learn more about the security industry.
Although the position is remote, candidates must be located in Southern California - ideally in the Los Angeles area - to allow for local travel to clients on short notice.
Responsibilities of this role
- Support the day-to-day work required to develop SOPs, reports, and trainings in a user-friendly manner that aligns with BGI and the assigned client’s culture.
- Coordinate the schedule of activities for assigned projects internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure all projects remain on track.
- Maintain all documentation associated with assigned projects in accordance with BGI and client requirements.
- Proactively escalate any foreseen issues with timelines, resources, and/or personnel to assigned Project Manager(s) or Consultant(s).
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and workflows associated with assigned projects.
- Remain flexible to the needs of assigned clients while balancing multiple priorities and projects.
- Support various operational and administrative duties for the company.
Skills and qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in private sector safety and security or a related field preferred.
- Degree in Criminology, Law, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field. Research experience is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Possess a strong desire to learn new things and to grow within the company.
- High level of social awareness and emotional intelligence to foster strong, collaborative relationships both within the organization and with external clients.
- Ability to multitask and balance competing deadlines and projects.
- Ability to travel regionally as required.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools, technology, and applications.
