Join Our Amazing Team! Bon Secours Wellness Arena is seeking a visionary Director of Marketing to lead our marketing strategies and initiatives within the vibrant live entertainment industry! As a key player in our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance our brand visibility and drive attendance for our diverse array of events.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals, focusing on audience engagement and ticket revenue.
- Enhance existing promotional initiatives and design innovative programs to maximize ROI, including partnerships, sponsorships, and new media opportunities.
- Lead market research initiatives to identify opportunities, trends, and benchmarks that inform marketing strategy.
- Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring a strategic allocation of resources across various campaigns and initiatives.
- Work closely with senior leadership and other departments to align marketing efforts with overall organizational goals and ensure cohesive messaging.
Brand Development and Customer Engagement:
- Manage brand positioning to ensure consistency across all platforms and touchpoints, enhancing the overall public perception of the arena.
- Guide the development of promotional content, ensuring that it reflects the arena’s mission and reaches target demographics effectively.
- Analyze customer experience metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive repeat attendance.
- Provide strategic focus on marketing communications, customer engagement, and brand management to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with the venue’s goals.
- Act as the primary spokesperson and liaison with media, representing the venue’s brand and values effectively.
Media, Sponsorships, and Partnerships:
- Negotiate and manage media, promotional, and sponsorship deals to enhance event exposure and maximize value.
- Build and maintain relationships with local and national media channels, influencers, and community leaders to generate positive coverage and engagement.
- Cultivate strong relationships with promoters, artist management, media outlets, sponsors, and key community stakeholders.
- Oversee sponsorship activations, ensuring fulfillment, ROI tracking, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Work in conjunction with other team members to leverage venue assets, event sponsorships, trade media allocation, community efforts, and group marketing campaigns on a show-by-show basis.
- Serve as the on-site marketing department representative for designated events, with responsibilities such as media escorting, sponsor/promotional partner implementation, and media partner coordination.
Digital and Social Media Strategy:
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email marketing, and search engine marketing, to maximize online presence and engagement.
- Lead the creation of digital marketing strategies, including social media campaigns and email marketing, while leveraging analytics tools like Google Analytics to track KPIs and revenue.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies, adjusting tactics as needed to improve outcomes.
- Lead innovations in technology and marketing approaches to engage new customer segments effectively.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Effectively lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team to foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and high performance.
- Promote positive employee relations, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
- Identify, develop, and retain high potential team members to build business advantage.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team. Ensure excellent customer service, staff training, and a positive work culture.
- Coach and provide actionable feedback to team members for professional growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or closely related field of study; or equivalent additional work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing within the live entertainment or sports industry, including demonstrated success in senior management roles.
- Experience with large-scale events in a venue of a similar size (15,000 seats) is highly desirable.
- Prior experience effectively leading a team to drive results
- In-depth knowledge of marketing strategies, digital marketing, brand management, and market research.
- Exceptional communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts, edit and proofread marketing material.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, forecast and identify trends, and drive decisions.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross functional work teams and to establish strong relationships with various stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in digital marketing tools, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, TM1, is preferred.
- Comfortable managing tight deadlines and proven ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Ability to work non-traditional hours/event driven schedule inclusive of nights, weekends, and holidays.
