Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and forward-thinking Director to lead the management and optimization of our Copper DSL and Telephone business. This crucial role will focus on customer strategy, operational efficiency, and market performance enhancement. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance and IT, to drive innovative strategies that positioning the business for future success. The ideal candidate will leverage a comprehensive marketing strategy to maintain existing customers, attract new ones, and ensure a competitive market position amidst changing technologies and customer preferences.

As Marketing Strategy Director - DSL & POTS, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Revenue & Market Performance: Execute marketing and revenue strategies to optimize growth in a declining market by driving demand, improving pricing strategies, and identifying new revenue streams.
  • Operational Optimization: Work cross functionally to drive efficiency improvements and cost savings while ensuring service quality and reliability, enhancing the service delivery processes and customer support.
  • Customer Experience: Identify and prioritize initiatives to troubleshoot and improve the customer experience, driving satisfaction, retention and customer lifetime value.
  • Transition Strategy & Future Planning: Lead the strategic shift to next-gen technologies (fiber, wireless) while maintaining customer loyalty during transitions and ensuring the business’s long-term competitiveness.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Guide cross-functional teams to align with business objectives, foster innovation, and deliver measurable results through collaborative leadership.

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Proven track record in the analysis of and building strategy for a subscription services business in a mature or declining market, especially in the telecommunications industry
  • Thrive in dynamic environments where strategic thinking, creativity, and data-driven decisions are key to overcoming challenges and seizing new opportunities
  • Possess exceptional leadership skills and can mentor and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and execution across departments such as marketing, customer service, and technical support
  • Experience in implementing innovative marketing strategies that drive both revenue and customer loyalty, particularly within traditional service offerings that are transitioning to newer technologies
  • Excel at analyzing market trends, customer data, and KPIs to guide strategic decisions and optimize market positioning
  • Ability to travel for team meetings as needed

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, especially in DSL or copper-based services
  • Expertise in emerging technologies within the telecommunications industry, such as fiber, 5G, and wireless solutions
  • Experience with customer segmentation, digital marketing campaigns, and the use of advanced analytics to drive decision-making
  • Strong experience in change management, particularly with leading the transition from legacy technologies to next-generation solutions
