Associate Director, Creative Operations

Bumble’s Creative Studio is an exciting inflection point. We’re rapidly growing in support of Bumble Inc.’s global app portfolio, and we want this momentum to continue. As part of this expansion, we’re looking to hire a Head of Creative Operations to be an integral part of our growing team, working on global projects and across time zones.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing & Creative Operations, the individual in this lead role will be responsible for developing and organizing our creative team processes and global output, from brief through execution, while managing a small team of creative project managers. In partnership with the Global Creative Director, you’ll drive capacity planning, ensure a smooth briefing and creative development process,  and delivery of assets on time, and on budget, for our marketing partners.

This role requires excellent project management skills and a proactive approach to process and creative development.

What you'll do
  • Lead the creative planning process based upon key initiatives—building project plans and timelines that satisfy regional market leads, the VP of Integrated Marketing, and the Creative Director.
  • Identify improvements and implement new tools and systems to better track and manage creative intake, output, and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and manage capacity, project budget and timelines, as well as the creative department' budget—working closely with the Creative Director and Chief Marketing Officer on estimates and approvals. Build strong relationships with senior leadership and cross-functional marketing teams to ensure alignment on creative priorities and business goals.
  • Manage the workflow of the Creative Studio, prioritizing tasks and deliverables, and working with creatives to ensure distribution of workload, including assessing and hiring freelance support where necessary.
  • Lead weekly creative operations meetings, cross-functional meetings, and creative reviews. Act as a key point of contact in the creative studio for all departments in the business.
  • Lead a small team of creative project managers—helping foster a positive, learning-based environment that leads with empathy and understanding.
  • Develop systems and processes, alongside creative leads and production, for establishing, vetting, and sharing out external creative partners and talent, from photographers and directors to content creators and producers.
  • Support onboarding and kickoff of work streams with external partners and agencies, while ensuring a smooth transition for other creative and cross-functional teams.

About you
  • 8+ years of experience with creative operations, preferably in the tech sector
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven success leading small cross-functional teams and processes, either in agency or in-house environments
  • Budget-management experience and competence and confidence negotiating with external partners.
  • Deep understanding of brand management and design tools (Figma, Asana, Monday, etc)
  • You are positive and committed with a 'can-do' attitude and a flexible approach to complex problems.
  • You enjoy solving problems and can do so without direct supervision.
  • You’re creative and have deep empathy for the creative process and other creative people.
  • You are a flexible self-starter: you thrive on taking ownership of initiatives with limited oversight
  • You have excellent time management and you know how to manage multiple priorities, breaking large projects into manageable pieces.
  • You have great communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You’re highly organized and incredibly detail-oriented.
  • You are passionate about our brand vision and values.
