The Manager of Culinary Operations is responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance of the Roughrider Grill and Food Trailer, including oversight of staff and resident trainees. This position leads all aspects of food service operations, personnel supervision, vocational training, inventory control, and customer service. The Manager ensures high standards in food quality, safety, and service while exercising significant independent judgment in operational decision-making and staff development.
1. High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, business, or related field preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in food service management, with supervisory responsibility.
3. Strong knowledge of regulatory and safety compliance in food service operations.
4. Demonstrated experience in team leadership, vocational training, or workforce development preferred.
5. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with POS systems preferred.
6. Ability to lift, bend, and stand for prolonged periods; must be able to operate and tow a trailer.
7. Must possess exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
8. Valid Texas driver’s license required.
9. Must be at least 21 years of age and available to travel as needed.
