About the Role: 

The Light-Duty EV Charging Data & Systems Intern – Charge@Work will support backend operations to improve program efficiency and scalability as the program nears completion. This role focuses on organizing and streamlining data systems, automating workflows, and optimizing internal processes to reduce manual data handling. The intern will help structure program data for long-term usability, ensuring a seamless transition for potential program expansion. Additionally, their work will support CALSTART’s goal of securing a program extension and building a self-sustaining model that leverages automation and data-driven insights. 

This is a 3 month part time internship requiring a 25 hour per week commitment with the opportunity to extend.

• Data Management: Transfer and integrate data from WordPress forms into Monday.com. 
• Automation & Workflow Improvement: Develop automations linking emails, CRM systems, and data collection forms. 
• System Organization: Clean up and structure file systems for long-term usability. 
• Data Analysis & Visualization: Assist with reports and dashboards using Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI (preferred but not required). 
• Outreach Support: Provide insights from program data to inform stakeholder engagement and outreach strategies. 

• Data Organization Skills: Ability to maintain structured databases and file systems. 
• Automation & Integration Experience: Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Monday.com, WordPress forms) and automation tools. 
• Analytical Mindset: Experience with data visualization tools (preferred) and strong attention to detail. 
• Process Improvement Abilities:Identify inefficiencies and streamline workflows. 
• Self-Starter & Adaptability: Work independently while collaborating with the team. 

• Experience or coursework in data management, automation, or CRM systems. 
• Familiarity with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), SQL, Tableau, or Power BI (a plus but not required). 
• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Policy, or a related field. 
• Interest in clean transportation, EV adoption, and sustainability. 
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
