As a Business Development Coordinator for our Life Sciences practice, you will support CF by managing key business development activities. You will assist in tracking opportunities, preparing high-quality proposals, and ensuring smooth bid processes. Your role will involve maintaining the opportunity tracker, managing bid resources, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored, winning proposals. 


This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. You’ll work closely with the Business Development Manager and other teams to ensure proposals meet client needs and align with CF’s objectives.

Responsibilities:

Document Management  

  • Assist in developing detailed, professional proposal documents that articulate CF's products, services, and unique value 
  • Create bid mobilisation PowerPoint packs, lodge clarification questions, complete bid compliance documents in line with client requirements, proof reading, submitting proposals via client online portals, collating CVs, case studies and other materials for proposals as needed 
  • Support the bid close down process by ensuring that all files are correctly labelled and tagged on SharePoint and that key material we have created is curated and stored in the proposal resources library for future use

Problem Solving 

  • Research and track future work opportunities that align with the objectives of CF  
  • Effectively coordinate bid opportunities, including organising meetings, managing the storage of updates and clarifications, and uploading tender responses and queries 
  • Identify gaps and provide insights to enhance our proposal strategy based on customer feedback 
  • Identify, mitigate or escalate risk on bid submissions 

Data & Systems Ownership  

  • Manage our opportunity tracker by logging new opportunities, capturing key information about each opportunity, and recording and coding feedback we receive following bid submission 
  • Provide bid support and administration to the Business Development Manager and Managing Partner for Life Sciences 
  • Leverage our CRM, CMap and other CF tools to build and maintain a robust repository of response content and bid enablement materials

Communication  

  • Provide timely updates on the business development function to the SLT and wider business development function as needed  
  • Proactively engage with internal stakeholders to progress and chase input to bids, escalating issues where appropriate 
  • Collaborate with other CF teams (Consulting, Finance, People) to gather accurate information for both one-off and ongoing use 
  • 1+ years of experience in proposal management, technical writing, health data or a related role  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly 
  • Strong project management and organisational skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products 
  • Experience with CMap, our CRM would be advantageous 
  • Holiday entitlement: 25 days/year for staff and 30 days/ year for leadership increasing by 1 day for every year of service up to a maximum of 35 days of holiday per year
