The Front Desk Supervisor directs and controls the activities of the front desk area and acts as the manager on duty when the Front Desk Manager is not available. This position is responsible for accurately assessing the guests needs, supervising front desk staff, taking reservations, and resolving any issues to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:- Checking guests in and out, answering phones and being able to provide information and take reservations
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
- Supervise the staff at the front desk. Directs all activities of the front desk area to ensure communications and follow-up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements
- Assist Front Desk Manager in training, coaching, scheduling, and development for front desk staff as needed
- Display leadership in guest hospitality and exemplify excellent guest service
- Resolve guest complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
- Assist and greet guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, in-house events, directions, etc.
- Ensure that current information on rates, packages and promotions are available at the Front Desk and that all staff is knowledgeable on such
- Inspect, plan, and ensure that all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service; rectify deficiencies with respective personnel
- Inspect grooming and attire of staff; rectify any deficiencies
- Assure that all financial and credit procedures are followed
- Take action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well being of hotel guests and team members when the Front Desk Manager is not available. Respond swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation
- Perform other duties as requested by Front Desk Manager or other department Managers

Education & Experience:- Must be 21 years or older
- Minimum of one year of hotel front desk supervisory experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
