The Fire Department, City of New York (FDNY), seeks a full-time/part-time City Laborer in the Bureau of General Administrative Services. Reporting directly to the Deputy Director, General Administrative Services, the successful candidate will:
Under immediate supervision the City Laborer will perform common unskilled laborer work requiring physical strength: move, lift and carry items of various weight and sizes; assist in moving heavy furniture, equipment and materials for firehouse and fire department buildings. Required to operate motor vehicles including forklift in connection with the performance of duties. Operate various materials handling machinery including electric and hydraulic devices.
