This position reports directly to the NPS Supervisor Program Analytics and is the only team member that reviews the school applications to ensure all application documents submitted by the schools are accurate and compliant with Local Law 2, the rules of the Program. Each year, this team member creates the MOUs and distributes to each of the schools along with their annual budget. The Program Eligibility Analyst is one of the first to interact with the schools as they navigate the application process and ensures that the administrators at the schools are supported as they seek acceptance in the Program.

Responsibilities:

The duties of the NPS, Program Eligibility Analyst are:
- Be versed on all aspects of the Local Law 2 of 2016, the Rules of the NPS Program particularly as it relates to the application requirements for the Program.
- Manage all aspects of the NPS Application filing process via PASSport.
- Complete thorough reviews of all application or recertification documents submitted by new and returning schools to ensure they are eligible to participate in the Program in accordance with LL2 and the Program Rules.
- Create and distribute each approved schools’ Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Annual Budget files to the schools via email.
- Verify and track receipt of all documents from the schools then create a folder including the signed MOU along with the Certificate of Funds for PON1 creation.
- Review the Afterschool Activities excel script file to either approve/deny school’s request.
- Prepare and issue various correspondence to schools to inform of decisions made regarding their application/recertification or afterschool activities requests.
- Maintain and update the various databases that monitor the status of the applications, recertifications and afterschool activities.
- Prepare the weekly MOU status report, application status report, and other ad-hoc reports as requested.
- Liaise with schools regularly via email, or phone to assist with all submissions.

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
