About the Role

Clutch is expanding its design team! We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Visual/Marketing Designer to lead the creation of compelling visuals and impactful marketing and sales assets that elevate our brand and engage our audience. In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales, marketing and product to develop designs for digital campaigns, pitch decks, infographics, internal communications, collateral and more.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in visual storytelling, branding, web design and design systems along with the ability to translate strategic goals into innovative and effective designs. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, can translate complex business or product concepts into clear and beautiful visuals, and are passionate about elevating and unifying design efforts, we’d love to have you on our team.

About the Team

At Clutch, design isn't just a department—it's the driving force behind our mission. By crafting intuitive experiences, we help credit unions guide their members toward financial freedom.

Our growing design team is fully remote in the U.S. and Brazil. It is diverse, collaborative, ambitious and empowered to take on our company’s biggest challenges

What You’ll Do

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Acquire Domain & Process knowledge: Get fully onboarded with the credit union fintech domain, company vision, sales and marketing goals, strategies and processes

  • Build Relationships: Establish strong collaborative relationships with Marketing, Sales, the People Team and the larger Design team.

  • Contribute Early: Begin developing new marketing and sales assets and redesigning dated ones.

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Lead Key Design Initiatives: Take full ownership of larger, more ambiguous, higher-impact design projects. You’ll lead end-to-end design efforts, from concept to execution, working closely with Marketing and Sales to deliver solutions.

  • Develop guidelines: Shape design guidelines, patterns, and best practices to ensure consistency across all assets you are responsible for, and to insure that these are in line with the visual language used in our products.

  • Develop templates and processes: develop reusable templates and processes to streamline routine work and queue asks

Within 9 months, you will:

  • Influence Marketing and Sales Strategy: Help identify where Design can have bigger impact on the marketing and sales side and drive new related projects

  • Shape Design Culture: Take on a larger initiative around improving design culture

  • Creative Influence Across Design: Have a strong voice in not just Sales and marketing design, but also influence and elevate the visual design on the product side and in every corner of the company

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: at least 6 years working in graphic, communication, or other forms of visual design

  • Design Craft: Strong proficiency in graphic design, typography, color theory, layout principles. Proficiency in basic motion design.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

  • Creativity and innovation: : Ability to think creatively–and systematically– and propose fresh, visually compelling ideas that serve specific creative briefs. .

  • Tools Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, AI generation tools and other relevant software.

  • Branding: Experience developing and maintaining brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all design assets.

  • Digital Design: Ability to design for various digital platforms, including responsive web design, social media, and mobile-first experiences.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for detail to ensure quality and alignment with brand standards.

  • Scrappiness and ambition: Ability to make a big impact in a fast paced, can do, startup environment
