The Role
At COAT, we know a thing or two about brand and growth marketing. We’re looking for someone to develop and execute campaigns that grow, engage, and retain our community—fostering an audience that connects with COAT beyond just our products.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Community Management
- Own the execution of COAT’s content plan across social channels.
- Manage the daily/weekly social calendar, aligning it with the wider marketing plan.
- Be the voice of COAT, engaging with our community—primarily on Instagram.
- Track key metrics and optimise strategies to improve reach and engagement.
Influencer & Creator Marketing
- Lead COAT’s creator marketing strategy—sourcing content, managing relationships, and ensuring on-brand execution.
- Identify and leverage user-generated content (UGC) opportunities within our community.
- Coordinate outreach for UGC collaborations, track performance, and manage permissions and attributions.
- Work with the wider marketing team to ensure creator and community content aligns with overall brand goals.
Marketing Support
- Content Library Management – Keep COAT’s image and content library organised and accessible.
- Email & Blog Management – Support the team with developing and scheduling compelling content for both retail and trade audiences.
- General Marketing Support – We’re a startup, so there’s always some ‘mucking in’ to do—especially in marketing, where things move fast and ideas turn into reality quickly.
- 2-4 years’ experience in a marketing role, ideally within a small, ambitious D2C e-commerce brand.
- A strong interest in interiors and a natural affinity for digital and social platforms.
- A solid grasp of project management—you’ll need to work flexibly across multiple areas of marketing and the wider business, delivering in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in digital platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and web.
- The ability to analyse content performance and use data-driven insights to refine strategy.
- CRM skills—you know your way around email marketing, or can learn fast.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone of voice across different channels.
Chances are, if you tick these boxes, you’re also creative, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy—qualities that will serve you well in our fast-moving, ‘solutions-not-problems’ environment.
- Type: Full time, Permanent
- Hours: 8 hours/day on weekdays (flexible working)
- Holidays: Unlimited—you do you (subject to our policies)
- Location: London HQ primarily, and some home (flexible)
Perks: Hefty discount on COAT paint, flexible working culture, regular team events
