Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Associate specializing in Inventory Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, efficiently managing inventory systems, and tracking and coordinating Purchase Orders. The role requires strong proficiency with Inventory Management Software and the ability to coordinate inventory processes across various departments.
What You'll Do- Oversee inventory levels using SkuVault software to ensure accuracy and timely replenishment of stock.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to identify discrepancies and correct errors.
- Maintain accurate product locations, quantities, and status within the system.
- Coordinate with the Director of Warehouse to ensure inventory levels meet demand while minimizing overstock.
- Utilize SkuVault for real-time tracking and management of all inventory transactions (receiving, transfers, adjustments, and shipments).
- Ensure product SKUs, barcodes, and related data are accurately input into SkuVault for tracking purposes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any software or inventory discrepancies related to the SkuVault system.
- Purchase Order Management:
- Work with Director of Warehouse to place and track Purchase Orders (POs) with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure accurate and timely order placement based on stock levels and demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to confirm order status, shipping dates, and any potential delays.
- Update and maintain purchase order records within the inventory system and communicate any order changes to relevant departments.
- Oversee the receiving process to ensure that all goods are received in good condition and accurately logged into the inventory system.
- Coordinate the organization and proper storage of incoming goods, ensuring efficient putaway and retrieval processes.
- Generate regular reports on inventory status, purchase orders, stock movement, and backorders.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or discrepancies, and recommend improvements to optimize operations.
- Provide updates on order status, inventory availability, and potential delays to management.
- Work closely with Director of Warehouse, warehouse staff, and vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
- Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies or shipping issues in a timely manner.
What You'll Need to Succeed - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong Excel skills and data analytics
- 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations or inventory management.
- Proficiency in using SkuVault software or similar Inventory Management Systems (WMS).
- Hands-on experience with placing and tracking Purchase Orders (POs) in a warehouse or supply chain environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory control practices, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.
- Ability to multitask and handle time-sensitive responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with vendors, team members, and management.
- Expected work hours: M-F 9am- 5:30pm with some required overtime as needed by business demand.
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting to 75lbs pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with barcode scanners, RFID systems, or other warehouse automation tools. Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment (preferred but not required). Experience with data analytics tools for inventory reporting and analysis. Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and compliance regulations.
