IMPRINT (currently in stealth) is a biomedical Focused Research Organization (FRO) studying the hidden causes of chronic disease, especially autoimmune and psychiatric disorders. Our work involves cutting-edge research at the intersection of immunology, neuroscience, and behavior.
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations at IMPRINT, including local needs at our NYC labs and headquarters, and work closely with the executive team to drive operational excellence. The Operations Manager will be key in shaping operational strategy and fostering a culture of collaboration and results. This role will require strong operational and financial management skills, superior organization and problem-solving abilities, and a passion for science and societal impact. Primary Responsibilities- Ensure the IMPRINT team, including NYC-based lab(s) and office, international teams, and other remote employees, have the resources and support needed to succeed.
- Oversee budgets, track resource allocation, and manage vendor and contractor relationships. You will also collaborate with leadership to prepare our yearly budget and ensure the overall fiscal health of the organization.
- Liaise with Convergent Research, including coordinating legal, finance, HR, and other administrative functions provided by Convergent Research.
- Ensure all purchasing is executed quickly and complies with Convergent Research guidelines and overall best practices. This includes license management, overseeing lab procurement, and supporting other local facilities as needed.
- Develop and implement processes to streamline operational workflows and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Plan and create materials for fundraising pitches, Board of Directors meetings, Strategic Advisory Board meetings, donor updates, and other engagements.
- Facilitate effective recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes.
- Maintain and improve systems for defining, tracking, measuring, and reporting organizational objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Organize off-sites, on-sites, retreats, and other meetings as needed.
- Develop SOP’s and keep our internal documentation systems up-to-date and easy to navigate.
- Oversee Imprint’s social media channels, ensuring relevant content is promoted.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in an operational role, preferably in a startup, nonprofit, or technology-driven environment.
- Experience managing organization-level budgets.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.
Preferred Attributes- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
- HR/ People operations experience highly preferred.
- Familiarity with research science, specifically in biotech or neuroscience, is a strong plus.

Location- IMPRINT is headquartered in New York City and has additional European facilities and employees. The Operations Manager position is a full-time role and must work a hybrid (3 days/ week+) schedule in the NYC office. This person may also need to travel to Europe to support occasional local events.
