Job Description

Cornerstone Building Brands is looking to bring in an Inside Sales Account Manager to join our MBCI team. Our Inside Sales Manager will generate revenue for the Shelter business by utilizing cross functional knowledge of the various business lines and technical product information; following up on leads, service requests, cold calls, Drift chats, quoting and quote follow up, as well as managing owned Inside Sales accounts.  They will be responsible for maintaining and growing positive relationships with existing customers, and generating new business from leads, prospecting, BDM opportunities and their pipeline initiative.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Direct line responsibility for owned Inside Sales existing accounts within the territory, focused on YOY growth and expanding wallet share
  • Create and grow ‘Pipeline’ of customers, outside of their ‘owned accounts’
  • Ability to cold call utilizing the phone for new business and growth opportunities with existing customers - Reasonable to expect 25+ Calls per day on average
  • Provide Technical or install support to customers
  • Conduct and submit Customer Needs Analysis surveys as directed by the Sales manager-Reasonable to expect on average 10 per week
  • Follow through till close with leads provided by internal and external sources
  • Responsible for all Drift conversations directed to the Inside Sales team (roughly 50+ per month)
  • Quote projects for new and existing customer base
  • Complete Quote Follow Up efforts for entire territory
  • Ensure orders are quoted and submitted correctly for the CSR team to enter accurate information (clean BOM)
  • Estimate projects and BOM creation through Roofing Passport submittals, PJS or ASP
  • Report trends in the market including competitor activities to the sales leadership team
  • Take orders from new and existing customers in your territory and other territories if needed. Responsiveness to incoming calls and emails is paramount.
  • Train new and existing on the Online Ordering portal through the eCommerce site
  • Create project opportunities, work / support opportunities delivered through the Business Development team
  • Ensure customer issues are addressed within 48 hours
  • Virtually attend the weekly CRW Sales Meetings
  • Virtually attend weekly Inside Sales Meetings & present territory updates on Leads, chats, quotes, follow ups and market conditions
  • Assist the designated Regional Manager and District Sales Managers in achieving business goals as well as their revenue and ton goal for the region
  • Work as internal sales support for designated District Sales Managers (2-3 per territory)
  • Work closely with the inter-department teams to ensure customer orders are followed through
  • Be able to make periodic interstate travel & overnight stays when appropriate
  • Take part in Monthly trainings, webinars and learning events

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 year post-secondary education required; Bachelor's degree is desirable, experience in lieu of education considered
  • MUST have minimum 2-3 years experience in a sales role
  • Must have high math aptitude to assist customers when ordering
  • Competitive Spirit
  • Must have high ability to multi-task 
  • Must have high ability to learn, comprehend, and apply training as well as use best judgement for case-by-case scenarios
  • Must have HIGH level of organization skills 
  • Ability to make proactive decisions based on customer need
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Demonstrable evidence of business acumen
  • Project / Negotiation management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required  
  • Ability to read building drawings a plus 
  • 5+ years of construction products sales experience a plus, but not required 
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required

The US base salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 annually + sales incentive plan + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
