JOB DETAILS

Base Pay $30 per hour

Day Shift Monday through Friday 6am - 2pm, with weekend availability

Employment Benefits start on day 1

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Quality Lead to oversee and drive the quality assurance processes within our organization. The Quality Lead will act as a key point of contact between the QA team and other departments, ensuring all products meet the required quality standards. This individual will be responsible for guiding quality improvement initiatives, conducting inspections, and mentoring team members to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.

 

  • Lead and oversee quality assurance activities across all stages of production, ensuring products meet the company’s quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulations, and company goals.
  • Conduct routine inspections, audits, and product evaluations to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Lead root cause analysis of quality issues, identifying solutions, and ensuring the effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Work closely with the production, engineering, and operations teams to identify areas for quality improvement and drive initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
  • Maintain and update quality control documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
  • Perform surveillance audits on vendor quality. Notify appropriate personnel of any issues that arise so prompt corrective action can be taken.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of new team members and provide ongoing development for the existing QA team.
  • Capable of performing equipment calibrations and recordkeeping.
  • Monitor and track key quality metrics, preparing reports to communicate performance and improvement opportunities to management.
  • Assist in the investigation of customer product returns and with the field product complaint resolution process.
  • Utilize JD Edwards for traceability, product location and manufacturing records information.
  • Lead the management of off specification work in progress. This includes: MRB, management, restricted coil reporting/management and material reclassification in JD Edwards
  • Lead the management of off specification raw material. This includes paint and metal returns coordinated through vendors.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of quality processes and support the implementation of best practices to enhance overall product quality.
  • Provide support and communicate effectively with external customers, field sales, marketing, and warranty personnel.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance 
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., root cause analysis, Six Sigma, statistical process control, ISO 9001, GMP, FDA, etc.).
  • Excellent Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  •  Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance.
  • Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to interact with people.
  • Must be accurate with complex operations, detail oriented with ability to operate, read, and interpret equipment/findings.
  • Must have excellent mechanical aptitude, ability to operate a ten key, and working knowledge of machine mechanics.
  • Must be able to learn to work with computer systems and have the ability to gain computer skills as needed.
  • Need ability to use and read calipers and micrometers to within one thousandth of an inch.
  • Must be able to work quickly with product and be able to lift 50 pounds maximum, be able to lift with assistance 50 pounds maximum, able to lift with assistance 51 to 100 pounds, longer product may require 2 people to lift onto the cart or move cart into finishing area keep colors separate, and records weights accurately.
  • Must be able to perform with sometimes little to no supervision and direction, and successfully complete assignment as satisfactorily and quickly as possible.
  • This position requires frequent walking and the ability to stay on your feet for extended periods throughout the day and requires the ability to discern color differences
