Job Description

Position Overview:

Mach Connections is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to collaboratively manage and optimize our procurement process. This role is responsible for procuring raw or semi-finished materials, parts, supplies, and other resources essential for manufacturing and operational needs. The ideal candidate will proactively ensure the timely availability of materials and supplies while optimizing cost efficiency, quality, and inventory management to support production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Management:

o Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet company quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

o Develop and issue purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

o Track and manage orders to ensure the timely delivery of raw or semi-finished materials, parts, supplies, and other resources essential for manufacturing.

2. Vendor Relations:

o Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new vendors to improve procurement efficiency.

o Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery performance.

3. Inventory and Cost Control:

o Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement efforts to avoid shortages or overstock.

o Analyze market trends and vendor performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.

o Implement strategies to optimize cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards to support production goals.

4. Quality Assurance:

o Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure procured materials meet specifications and quality standards.

o Address and resolve issues related to defective or substandard materials.

5. Compliance and Documentation:

o Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

o Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, inventory, and vendor agreements.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

o Work closely with production, operations, engineering and finance teams to align procurement strategies with manufacturing and operational needs.

o Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or billing.

7. Culture and Teamwork:

o Embrace and promote Mach Connections’ positive, collaborative culture by fostering strong teamwork and supporting company values.

o Approach challenges with a can-do attitude, maintain professionalism, and inspire positivity in interactions with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

· Experience: 2+ years in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

· Skills:

o Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

o Proficient in ERP system Epicor

o Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

o Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

· Certifications: APICS, CPSM, or similar certifications are a plus.
