About the role:
We have a new opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in driving HR initiatives and programs across our Sales and R&D teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Human Resources and will be adept at balancing HR business partnership with day-to-day operational responsibilities. You will support the business in employee engagement, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, coaching and development and more, while helping drive the successful adoption of HR programs across the organization. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days in the Burnaby, BC office. This role reports into the Senior Manager, Human Resources.

What you’ll do: - Collaborate with Senior Manager, People to provide HR support and guidance that aligns with business goals, organizational needs, and talent strategies to assigned client groups.
- Support workforce planning efforts, including resource planning, retention strategies, and organizational design to ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Support the successful implementation and adoption of company-wide HR programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and business requirements.
- Utilize HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement of HR processes.
- Support the execution of our employee engagement programs and initiatives that enhance workplace culture, improve morale, and drive retention. Review, analyze, and discuss the results with respective client groups and support leaders in the development of action items. Maintain a close “pulse” of the employees to support a high level of employee engagement.
- Bring a coach-approach to your leadership, by building collaborative partnerships and coach managers and employees on career development, performance improvement, and navigating complex issues.
- Partner with managers to support effective performance management processes, including purposeful conversations, feedback cycles, and goal-setting frameworks.
- Provide advice and support on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and the handling of workplace issues with a focus on proactive, positive outcomes while ensuring the best outcome for the business, aligned with applicable labour and employment law standards.
- Support the execution of our annual merit process, equity grant refresh, and annual incentive program.
What you’ll bring: - Degree or Diploma in Business or Human Resource Management, Certified Human Resources Professional designation (CPHR) is a plus.
- 4+ years' experience in Human Resources, ideally within a fast-paced, tech environment supporting cross-functional teams like Sales and R&D.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, business partnering, performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, coaching, equity, diversity, & inclusion, etc.
- Experience with HR Systems such as Rippling, SharePoint, Confluence, etc. is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
- Experience or willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an HR team and across departments to achieve business goals.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.

Compensation:
The base salary for this role is targeted between $6,000 - $7,500 CAN per month. The final offer is determined by your proficiencies within this level.
