Summary/Function:

D.A. Davidson, an employee-owned Financial Services firm, is seeking an exceptionally sharp, motivated and process-oriented person to join our growing team in Seattle, WA.  Working closely with IT, Senior & Branch Leadership, and Human Capital, the Wealth Management New Hire Support Specialist will serve as the primary internal touchpoint and coordinator in planning and executing successful new hire and employee job changes.  This role is responsible for creating and managing a structured, engaging, and comprehensive process for onboarding and offboarding employees and supporting job changes within Wealth Management, with an emphasis on IT coordination and enablement.  Additionally, the Support Specialist will collaborate on special projects associated with new branch offices, branch renovations, and hardware refreshes. 


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in information systems, business, communication, or a related field required. 
  • Working knowledge of the securities industry and financial markets.
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and other applications used within the securities industry.
  • Ability to work consistently from local D.A. Davidson office location.
  • Ability to travel as needed for onboarding, hardware refreshes, and new branch location openings (Estimated 10-20% based on need).

  • Skilled in designing, implementing, and continuously improving scalable processes that can adapt to different roles, departments, and branches.
  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding or job change processes simultaneously, keeping each stage and employee on track.
  • Excellent communication skills delivered in a creative, service-oriented and solutions-based manner that helps employees feel valued and connected.
  • Ability to think and work independently in a proactive and forward-looking manner, multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assigned work.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and matters with discretion.
  • Willingness to obtain SIE & Series 99 (if not already licensed).


Duties:
  • Create and maintain job profile documentation including standard applications used by each and required approvals for each.
  • Create and manage a structured onboarding and job change process with checklists, timelines, and educational materials to ensure a consistent experience.
  • Submit and track new hire, job change, and offboarding requests through the D.A. Davidson Support Portal on the manager’s behalf.
  • Partner with IT to ensure hardware and application needs are understood and made available upon new hire or job change start date or within expected service level agreement requirements.
  • Partner with Managers and the Transitions Team to coordinate and oversee new office set-ups in support of recruiting activity.
  • Monitor tasks, ensure timely completion of key steps, and track progress across different stages of onboarding and job changes.
  • Provide reporting on onboarding outcomes and trends to Wealth Management, Human Capital, and IT Leadership.
  • Assist in coordinating and scheduling specialized training for new hires to ensure they receive job-specific knowledge and tools needed to succeed.
  • Collect feedback and recommend improvements to the onboarding, job change, offboarding, and hardware replacement process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

$28.85 - $33.65 an hour

The potential hiring range for this role is $28.85 to $33.65 per hour. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate.
