We are currently seeking a Catering Attendant to join our team at an office location in Midtown Manhattan. This full-time position offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to maintain cleanliness and organization of office spaces, assist with catering operations, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Office Pantry Maintenance: Restock, organize, and maintain cleanliness in office pantries, ensuring that all supplies are fresh and readily available for employees.
• Conference Room Setup & Cleanliness: Ensure conference rooms are stocked with necessary supplies, clean, and prepared for meetings. Maintain the cleanliness of these spaces throughout the day.
• Catering & Event Setup: Assist with weekly catering services, including setting up and breaking down food and beverage stations for office events. Help with the execution of after-hours cocktail events, ensuring the smooth setup, service, and breakdown of event spaces.
• Food Production & Stocking: Assist with the receiving of daily food orders, stocking refrigerators, and the preparation of food items as needed. Follow standardized recipes and dietary requests.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional service and support to employees and event guests, ensuring a positive experience during catered events and meetings. Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Food Safety & Cleanliness: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation codes, as well as food production guidelines. Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
• Team Collaboration & Independence: Work closely with the onsite manager and team to ensure seamless execution of catering services. After the manager leaves, continue working independently to keep office spaces stocked and clean, and all tasks completed to the highest standard.
• POS System & Event Execution: Be able to check in guests on our POS system and assist with on-site delivery and execution of events.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous restaurant, hospitality, or catering experience preferred, with a focus on customer service and operational efficiency. Experience in a kitchen or related field is a plus.
• Cleanliness & Organization: Must be able to work clean and efficiently, maintaining a high level of organization, especially in a busy office building environment.
• Trustworthiness & Independence: Ability to work independently and manage tasks without supervision once the manager leaves.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in both catering setups and kitchen environments, ensuring all standards are met.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, handling the physical aspects of catering setups, breakdowns, and food production.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and coworkers.
• Food Safety & Sanitation Knowledge: ServSafe certification is a plus, with knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Flexibility: Ability to assist with after-hours cocktail events and additional tasks as needed.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required for event execution.
• Positive Attitude & Teamwork: Ability to thrive in a team-based environment, maintain positive communication with clients and staff, and provide top-tier hospitality.
