The Democratic Governors Association (DGA), the sole campaign committee responsible for electing and supporting Democratic Governors, is seeking to fill the Deputy Digital Campaign Services Director position within the political department for the 2026 campaign cycle. This position will be based out of the DGA offices in Washington, DC and will report to the Digital Campaign Services Director.
This role will work very closely with the DGA political team, maintain a strong working relationship with the DGA digital department, and advise campaigns on digital strategy across the country. This position will require work outside regular 9-5, M-F business hours, and may require travel to one or more of the 36 states with gubernatorial races in 2026.
The salary for this position is $120,000 annually before benefits and applicable withholdings. Candidates who are comfortable handling the following responsibilities and have the appropriate skillsets at the senior level are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities and Duties- Serve as digital point of contact for campaign digital directors, managers, and consultant teams, providing feedback and insight on digital products including online fundraising, list acquisition, organic social media and content creation, paid digital persuasion, and tools, staffing, and more;
- Collaborate with campaign staff and digital firms to build excellent, functional digital programs;
- Support campaign digital directors by holding weekly one-on-one check-ins, advising on best practices, and maintaining the DGA digital resources drive;
- Help campaigns recruit and hire effective digital staff;
- Expand incumbent digital services, helping sitting governors’ offices with their digital footprint;
- Develop and regularly update campaign data reporting system;
- Stay up-to-date with current digital trends and data, sharing information with campaign staff and consultants;
- Travel as needed to fulfill responsibilities for campaigns around the country;
- Provide digital capacity for campaigns as needed, including but not limited to social copywriting, email writing and production, and more;
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications- At least 2 cycles as a Digital Director on a statewide race. Gubernatorial experience a plus but not required;
- At least 3 cycles of digital experience on Democratic campaigns or left-leaning organizations;
- Experience managing teams, both internal staff and external consultants;
- Deep understanding of all the pieces of the digital puzzle, and experience leading on one or more of email fundraising, organic social programming, or paid digital persuasion for a candidate, elected official, or other relevant organization;
- Ability to work collaboratively and build trust across internal and external teams, representing the DGA well;
- Ability to identify gaps in campaign fundraising plans, social calendars, and paid media proposals;
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with many stakeholders to solve problems;
- Excellent time and project management skills, understanding that there are multiple projects at one time that will require your attention;
- Keen eye and attention to detail.

The DGA offices and this role are based in downtown Washington, DC with a hybrid work protocol. If you’re selected for this role, you’ll be required to work in office 1-2 days a week.
