Senior PeopleSoft Engineer

DEPT® Argentina keeps growing fast and looking for individuals that are passionate about the development process and not timid about working directly with clients. Our philosophy is to hire smart, client-facing engineers that can both understand the client's business goals and write elegant code.

Please note that this is a freelance opportunity; however, full-time availability will be required for the stipulated duration of the project (approximately 3 months, till the end of June).

What will your day be like?

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address the immediate needs and long-term goals.
  • Develop and implement solutions to optimize PeopleSoft processes.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and diagnosis of current system performance.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for PeopleSoft-related issues.
  • You’ll interface with clients. We estimate about 80% hands-on development and 20% client interaction & documentation

About You:

  • You feel comfortable using English on a daily basis, having at least an upper intermediate oral level.
  • You have experience writing software used by lots of people.
  • You have +5 years of experience working on a programming language, such as Cobol, C, Visual Basic, or Java.
  • You’ve worked with and have a good understanding of Database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL
  • You’ve worked with and have a good understanding of Version Control, preferably using git
  • You’ve worked with Agile software processes before
  • Proven experience as a PeopleSoft Developer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and development tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Experience with COBOL or other PeopleSoft programs is a plus.
  • You’re a natural problem-solver and willing to take initiative
  • You enjoy talking to clients and are good distilling technical information for a variety of roles within a business
