SUMMARY:  This person will perform preventative maintenance & repairs on production and facility related equipment, while maintaining a clean & safe work environment. This position is 2nd Shift. Hours are 3:30p - 2:00a Monday-Thursday. Overtime could be scheduled on Friday or Saturday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Promote safe work practices by following company safety policies.
2. Perform preventative maintenance tasks & repairs on equipment and facilities
3. Identify potential issues that may lead to equipment downtime and suggest ways to prevent future breakdowns.
4. Order repair parts for maintenance repairs to equipment and facilities.
5. Identify critical parts and make recommendations on additional spare parts inventory.
6. Assist Maintenance Technicians as needed.
7. Maintain a clean work area and promote company 5S policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a two-year vocational maintenance training program or apprenticeship program emphasizing industrial maintenance are required.  The ideal candidate would have experience in the following areas;

1. Must have 5+ years’ experience in an industrial maintenance role, with strong mechanical & electrical skills.  
2. Must have a working knowledge of PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
3. Able to identify problems and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment downtime.
4. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, drawings, and service manuals.
5. Must be computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

1. Ability to meet attendance standards.  All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hour week.  Sometimes, it may be necessary to work additional hours to accomplish the required tasks and meet deadlines.

4. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and effectively communicate with management and direct reports. Should have the ability to recognize communication gaps and appropriately address them.

7. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with a large variety of individuals, including production personnel, maintenance personnel, manufacturing engineers, management and outside contractors
