Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled GIS Developer with a strong background in geographic information systems (GIS), ArcGIS Online (AGOL), and spatial analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing user interfaces, performing complex spatial analyses, creating basemaps, and producing thematic data. This role requires a proactive approach to developing and maintaining geospatial databases and ensuring the accuracy and quality of spatial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write programs and develop user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands to meet specific user needs.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of geographic information systems that leverage geospatial basemap information.
• Perform complex spatial analyses and produce detailed reports according to customer specifications.
• Create and maintain basemaps, tile caches, and conduct imagery analysis.
• Utilize GIS hardware and software to produce maps, spatial databases, and thematic data.
• Create, adjust, correct, convert, and distribute base maps and thematic data.
• Digitize and maintain spatial databases, validate data for accuracy and completeness, and document procedures.
• Update and maintain metadata for new and existing open data items.
• Evaluate external data sources to determine data quality using Esri and other relevant tools.
• Act as a consultant to internal customers on the use, development, and quality assessment of spatial databases.
• Provide user support as needed and contribute to the team’s knowledge sharing and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of professional experience in GIS, cartography, CADD, or a related field.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and Portal, with experience in Experience Builder and creating dashboards.
• Required experience with ArcPro and familiarity with web services.
• Experience with FME or Data Interoperability extension is a plus.
• Knowledge of Esri Enterprise (SDE via Catalog) databases is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently on complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Spatial Analyst experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively share findings and interact with stakeholders.
