About the Team

The Income Tax Reporting and Compliance team is responsible for DoorDash’s U.S. State, and Foreign, income tax filings, as well as DoorDash’s global U.S. GAAP income tax provision. It’s an exciting time to join our ambitious team as we are growing and taking on a number of new, and exciting challenges!

About the Role

DoorDash is looking for a Senior Manager, International Tax to join a growing Tax Team. This role will be a key contributor to the Tax Team.  You will be charged with ensuring the impacts of various international income tax projects are timely and accurately reported for financial statements and income tax return reporting.  You will own the US international income tax calculations for all provision and tax return reporting.  This role will engage with cross functional business partners and outside consultants in the preparation of our US and foreign income tax returns. You will lead projects to scale processes for growth, taking them from manual to automated. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Income Tax.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Responsible for various US international tax calculation processes, such as GILTI, BEAT, Pillar 2, Sec. 987, DCL, and foreign tax credits
  • Responsible for ensuring certain foreign income tax returns are filed timely and accurately
  • Collaborate across tax, accounting, finance, and other business lines to obtain and analyze information required for projects and ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Manage relationships with advisors and external auditors in respect to these projects.
  • Build, maintain and improve tax documentation
  • Develop and implement process improvements, utilizing technology where appropriate, for all aspects of the tax calculation process
  • Stay updated on legislation, industry trends and best practices in taxation and share relevant insights with the team
  • Prepare and present reports to other senior leaders on tax performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Support various tax process improvement initiatives
  • Support tax controversy efforts

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 10+ years of corporate tax experience, with the ideal candidate having Big 4 and large public company experience
  • Familiarity with income tax provision (ASC 740)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-tax colleagues and leaders at DoorDash
  • You are meticulous, analytical, and organized
  • You have the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize various projects
  • You have your BA/BS Degree in Accountancy, or a similar field of study.
  • CPA and/or MS in Tax preferred
  • You are proficient with MS Excel, tax and accounting research tools, enterprise/general ledger systems, and tax provision applications
  • You roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to drive results, even if it's outside your normal areas of focus
  • You approach your role with a strong moral compass and integrity

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

See below for paid time off details:

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
