DROOL is a fast-growing e-commerce startup that’s on a mission to become the world’s most progressive destination for discovering unique contemporary art prints and frames. With community at our core, we want to motivate a creative movement that’s driven by self-expression and the empowerment that people should create homes that represent their style and personality. Our founder, Alex, created DROOL out of frustration when looking for art to buy for his flat. As a Graphic Designer himself, he quickly uncovered a lack of representation and support for all the early-career creative talent out there. When he asked around, lots of people felt the same. So he decided to do something about it
Having built an ambitious team, we've grown DROOL profitably, with additional backing by a US VC that has considerable domain expertise scaling startups like Ruggable, Dr Squatch and Fabletics into e-commerce powerhouses.
ROLE SUMMARY
We’re looking for a creative Senior Graphic Designer with strong experience in the e-commerce space. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our visual identity, creating revenue driving social media ad assets that resonate with our global audience, and bringing a creative flair to creating in-house artworks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue-driving social media ads:
- Create high-performing, visually compelling social media ad assets tailored to our global audiences.
- Collaborate with the wider team to deliver designs that align with the business seasonal, product launch and promotional campaigns
Digital assets:
- Support the team in creating graphics for our e-commerce website, marketing/PR campaigns, email templates, and other essential digital touchpoints.
Artwork design:
- Bring a creative flair to create a wide range of in-house prints/poster styles backed by data and insights from best-performing artwork.
- Manage and mentor a team of freelance and in-house junior designers to support them in creating prints and posters that match our quality expectations.
Brand development:
- Lead on driving the evolution of our visual brand identity to create a cohesive, best-in-class presence across all channels.
- Act as the guardian of the brand, ensuring consistency in tone, style, and visual execution across all design and style initiatives.
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer in the e-commerce industry (5+ years preferred).
- Exceptional portfolio with a proven ability to balance creativity with performance-driven design.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory.
- A proactive mindset to take your own initiative, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Additional preferred skills/experience
- Experience with motion graphics, video editing, or 3D design tools.
- Passion for e-commerce, consumer retail and/or digital marketing is a plus
