About The Role:
As a Retail Business Development Manager, you will be tasked with spearheading the growth of our business within the retail sector. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and implementing plans designed to expand our presence in the retail industry. You'll work closely with the sales team to create compelling proposals and reports that highlight the value of our services and drive revenue growth.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead Business Development Efforts: Focus on selling loyalty solutions to major retailers across the region, driving strategic sales and partnerships.
  • Target Identification: Identify and target large retailers as potential opportunities for loyalty solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Tailored Proposals: Develop and present customized loyalty solutions that align with client-specific needs and objectives.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Drive the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to deal negotiation and closure.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient project implementation for clients.
  • Revenue Growth: Strategically enhance revenue by leveraging partnerships and tailored sales initiatives.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven experience in business development, specifically in the retail sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation abilities and a strong customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and customer needs.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to meet clients and partners.

Education & Experience:

  • 7+ years in sales or business development, preferably in loyalty, fintech, or retail solutions.
  • Proven success in selling to large retailers and closing high-value deals..
  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, or relevant field; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the retail industry dynamics.
  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring new clients and exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with loyalty programs or customer engagement strategies is highly desirable.
