Position: Senior Social Media Marketing and Events Coordinator (Remote)
Hours: 1:00 AM - 9:00AM SAST
Pay Rate: R28 000 - R34 000 per month (Negotiable based on Experience)
Role Overview:
The Senior Social Media Marketing and Events Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing engaging social media campaigns and coordinating virtual and in-person events. This role focuses on building brand awareness, growing social media engagement, and managing the client’s event calendar. With a creative flair and a strategic mindset, the ideal candidate will be experienced in social media management and event coordination within a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy & Content Creation: Develop and implement social media strategies that align with the client’s brand objectives, creating compelling content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and others.
- Community Engagement: Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and monitor social media channels to build and maintain an active online community.
- Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate virtual and in-person events, including workshops, product launches, and client meetups.
- Brand Collaboration & Partnerships: Identify and build relationships with influencers and potential partners to expand social media reach and brand presence.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on social media and event performance, using insights to optimise future campaigns.
- Budget Management: Manage social media and event budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media platforms to keep strategies innovative and effective.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, and event coordination.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Proven track record in managing successful social media campaigns and events.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in design tools and social media scheduling tools.
- Analytical mindset with experience in tracking and reporting metrics.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail.
