POSITION SUMMARY


We are seeking a forward-thinking Graduate AI Engineering Summer Intern to join our dynamic team at ESRT, collaborating with diverse departments—such as marketing, public relations, digital, accounting, information technology, and more—to develop and implement AI solutions aligned with our strategic objectives. You will work closely with the Application Development Team on AI technologies encompassing Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, Virtual Assistance, Computer Vision, and Advanced Analytics using Machine Learning. By contributing to all stages of the AI development lifecycle, you will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the organization’s growth and success in a rapidly evolving field.



RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement Agentic AI Virtual Assistant functionalities for our leasing projects
  • Assist in the integration of Microsoft Copilot into existing systems to enhance user interaction and experience
  • Conduct research on AI technologies and recommend best practices for Agentic AI development
  • Test and debug Agentic AI functionalities to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction
  • Gather and analyze user feedback to improve Agentic AI responses and capabilities
  • Document technical specifications and processes for the development of Agentic AI features

  • As a Graduate AI Engineering Intern, success means actively contributing to the creation of accurate, reliable, Agentic AI functionalities that meet specific business objectives. By developing these Agentic AI functionalities, you will enhance decision-making processes and optimize workflows across various departments. You will know you have succeeded when stakeholders recognize and understand the positive impact of your work.


REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
  • Strong foundation in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
  • Familiarity with AI concepts and natural language processing (NLP) technologies
  • Experience with chatbot development and/or AI frameworks is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
  •  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • A keen interest in learning about new technologies and business processes
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse functional areas
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving technology and business needs
  • Awareness of ethical and cybersecurity considerations in AI, with a commitment to responsible AI practices
  • Willingness to learn continuously and stay informed about the latest AI/ML trends
  • Capacity to work independently when needed, while knowing when to seek guidance or feedback


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science
  • Previous experience in software development or AI-related projects is preferred
  • Real Estate, Finance, or Tour and Travel industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Azure AI Services
  • Hands-on experience through class projects related to data architecture and applying AI or ML models for Forecasting, Recommendation Systems, Optimization, Anomaly Detection, Inference Engines, Churn Analysis, Segmentation and Natural Language Processing


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

WELL-BEING
  • 40-hour work week, paid at a rate of $27.50 p/h

$27.50 - $27.50 an hour
Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, job location, size of property where applicable, and/or certifications. In addition to your base salary, ESRT provides discretionary annual bonuses.
