As Head of Product Marketing at TalentLMS, you’ll drive the strategic direction and execution of our product marketing efforts, playing a critical role in how TalentLMS is positioned, launched, and adopted. You'll lead go-to-market strategy, and collaborate cross-functionally across Product, Growth, Sales, and Customer Success. Your work will directly influence product adoption, customer satisfaction, and overall business growth.
Responsibilities
As a Head of Product Marketing, you will:
- Define and own the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for new features, products and services. Develop integrated marketing plans in collaboration with Product, Marketing, and Sales.
- Manage and develop the product marketing team, starting with one direct report, with a focus on coaching, prioritization, and scaling the function over time.
- Shape and evolve product positioning and messaging. Use complete independent judgement and discretion to create the story of our products and services. Be best friends with our prospects and customers, identify their challenges, and articulate the value TalentLMS capabilities and solutions bring to them. Develop compelling positioning and differentiation and express it through content, presentations, programs, and sales & marketing tools.
- Collaborate with Growth and Product teams to identify and execute in-product optimizations that accelerate product-led growth (PLG).
- Champion voice-of-the-customer initiatives, including programs to gather customer stories, testimonials, third-party reviews, and monitor key sentiment indicators such as NPS.
- Lead market, competitive, and customer research to inform product strategy, refine our ideal customer profile (ICP), and validate messaging. Educate the company on market requirements, trends, and competitor capabilities.
- Contribute to pricing and packaging strategy, incorporating market data, feedback, and competitive intelligence to support value communication.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to deliver high-impact enablement and lifecycle content. Develop compelling sales tools, programs, and training that empower teams across the buyer journey—from acquisition through retention. Represent Product Marketing as a subject matter expert in sales conversations, customer engagements, and external presentations (e.g., events, partner and analyst meetings).
- Track and analyze the performance of product marketing efforts, using both qualitative and quantitative data to optimize outcomes.
To be successful in this role as a Head of Product Marketing, you should have:
- 7–10+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Proven success in B2B SaaS—ideally within a PLG model—launching and driving adoption of new features or products.
- Strong ability to lead through influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams, especially with Product, Growth, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Excellent communicator and storyteller, capable of translating complex product concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills—comfortable using customer research, NPS, and product usage data to guide decisions.
- Hands-on, proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and a collaborative working style.
